How cute is he sitting there reading his books?!
Here we are sporting our Hawaii Flower Barrett from Daddy.
Here is Miss M playing with her ponies in her room on her own! :-0
Last night she asked Big Sis to play but Big Sis was busy.
She said, "That's okay I'll play by my self."
I had to take a picture this was such a monumental moment.
She did not know my real reason for taking the photo I just said,
"You look so cute with your horses."
She is really learning to regulate very well. I am amazed.
In fact if we make it through this weekend with no rage then
she will have reached her criteria with the Behavior Analyst.
She has accepted that we are going to help her.
When she starts to melt down I can help her by reminding
her that the first step to a resolution is to calm down. We
calm down and then we can fix the problem. Our newest thing
is I hand her the Baby Cream and remind her to put some on her
hands or knees or feet. I will give her a specific directive, "Put some
cream on your hands sweetie because remember it helps you to feel
better." As she does this I start helping her talk out what is happening.
Before this would not have worked. The cream would have become a projectile
all she would have been looking to do was attack us. No trust.
