Too True Tuesday # 16

Head on over to The Accidental Mommy blog and check out what other’s confessed regarding their Secret Indulgences.

Now as we have already discussed I am self-proclaimed queen of cheap. But something I won’t scrimp on is … ketchup. It is only Heinz all the times and the other adult family members know NOT to come home with some other brand or God Forbid generic ketchup!

Another will not go generic on is my toothpaste! Colgate Total is the only one for Brooke Shields, and me! In fact here’s my commercial for the brand – “As a SAHM white teeth are part of the job description because it helps to promote attachment in my traumatized children. (Insert big toothy grin with a gleaming white ding.) But more than that I want healthy teeth and that’s why Colgate Total is the only toothpaste I use. (Insert another big toothy grin with a gleaming white ding.)  It protects my mouth both day and night and when you're a Mom that could be taking a high heel sandal  to the face at any moment, trust me you want a strong smile!  (Ding)

Colgate has not called yet to pick up this advertising opportunity … but they will. They will.

LMAO! That's awesome!

My husband is a ketchup purist too. He practically starts to cry if I bring home another brand.

You crack me up! And nice to meet you - I am always at the ready to meet some random attack too! :)

Ketchup, though....I just bought generic the other night. Oh, dear. Hadn't thought there might be a difference. I'm sort of cringing here. We'll see how it works out.

Ditto!!! I,too, like to scrimp and save - but not with sauces and condiments....although since the real stuff is $25 a gallon - I do buy fake Maple Syrup.

It's so weird, I feel the same way about ketchup. I can definitely taste a difference between brands. Also, the fake maple syrup tastes much better than the real stuff from vermont. With toothpaste I switch off between crest and colgate. I've never even considered generic, tbh. Haha, I sound like a toothpaste snob!

Yes on the ketchup.

But maple syrup? Guess you've got to grow up with the taste. I won't do anything but real. (I liked banning the fake stuff from my house when I went gluten-free, as fake syrup isn't.) Now I just yell at anyone who lets the kids pour their own syrup.

Oh, heavens. When one of my daughters was teeny, she'd suck up a bottle of ketchup every week all by herself. I was tempted to just give her a straw. She kind of demanded the good stuff, too!

LOL. Too funny! Personally, I only use the Heinz Organic Ketchup. Taste's great!

Slowly catching up on blog reading, but had to stop in and tell you this post made me smile. (Insert gleaming white toothy grin!)

Leslie :-)

That'd make me buy Colgate!

You and my husband both on the ketchup. I can't even sneak the generic into the right bottle.
