The verdict is still out regarding the new med. Carter took the first dose Friday night and had trouble getting to sleep. He then woke up at 4:30 am Saturday morning. His mind was full of a thousand thoughts it seemed. I called the Psychiatrist. He said that it could be a very rare side effect but with my kids it very well could be. Ain't it the truth! He had Carter take it earlier that day and continue backing the time down until he was taking it in the morning, which was today. Sunday morning he woke up at 4 am, not going in the right direction here. And I mean he is up, no nap in the day, up. Today he did start stirring around at 4:30 am but he went back to sleep and then was awake off and on until 7 am.
Maylene made it through the weekend with no rage. We gave her a PRN med Sunday. She was clearly struggling and the dog was avoiding her big time . Chico knows so we gave the PRN med. Good thing. Even with the PRN med she had difficulty getting to sleep last night. That is always a clear indication that things are not where they need to be chemically for Maylene.
Vivian and Carter both receive awards today at school. Carter's was at 9 am and Viv's will be at 1:45 pm. Carter's was for "Going above and beyond the call of duty." Duty? He is in Kindergarten so I'm not sure what the duty was but we are thrilled for our guy no matter.
